SS Hebble, 904 grt, built 1891, sunk on 6th May 1917, whilst acting as Store Carrier No3 for the Admiralty, by mine 1 1/2 miles E from Roker Pier, Sunderland, laid by German submarine SMU UC42 in North Sea. Voyage was from Scapa Flow to Sunderland. 5 members of the crew were lost. Owned by Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Co of Goole
